Fast Twitch Performance & Recovery
A unique, mutli-disciplinary approach to the well-being of all athletes
What: The Fast Twitch Performance and Recovery program is a two-tiered approach to providing high-level injury prevention data and training to both injured and non-injured athletes. Within this program, all non-injured and injured athletes can undergo injury risk assessments that provide sophisticated data on how they can prevent future injuries and/or heal current injuries. The injury risk assessments include a PhysiMax dynamic movement assessment, an InBody Body Composition assessment, and various performance assessments that may be sport specific.
Purpose: To bridge the gap between traditional physical therapy and personal training and allow for athletes to receive high-level sport specific rehabilitation from a combination of varied healthcare providers (such as physical therapists and athletic trainers) and fitness professionals.
Who: This program is geared towards high school and collegiate athletes of all sports and competition levels; however, other recreationally active individuals may benefit from this program.
• Non-injured athletes: Regardless of their injury-free status, non-injured athletes may still suffer from movement irregularities that may predispose them to future injury. These athletes can work with our team of fitness professionals through training sessions and/or they can use their injury risk assessment data to further inform their own parents, coaches, or school athletic trainers.
• Injured athletes: The aforementioned injury risk assessments facilitate the development of personalized injury prevention programs. These athletes can work with our team of physical therapists, athletic trainers, and fitness professionals through insurance-verified physical therapy visits and/or they can use their injury risk assessment data to further inform their own parents, coaches, or school athletic trainers.
